HQ Cabling Services was commissioned to upgrade the network infrastructure and install a new Paxton Door Access System at The Europa Centre, improving both connectivity and security across the site.
Network Installation:
- Installed 11x Cat6 double outlets, 5x high-level Cat6 outlets for access points, and 2x Cat6 outlets for Paxton door access units.
- Routed all cabling to a new 12U wall-mounted cabinet, using suspended ceilings and new PVC containment.
- Installed 50×50 trunking and removed existing network cabling.
Paxton Door Access System:
- Installed Paxton Proximity P50 readers at five key locations around the school.
- Fitted control units on the secure side of each door, powered via a fused spur with battery backup.
- Supplied a USB desktop reader and 10x fobs for internal access.
This project successfully enhanced The Europa Centre’s network infrastructure and security. The structured cabling system ensures future-proof connectivity, while the Paxton system provides secure and efficient access control.
